I've placed preliminary instructions for adding summarizer capabilities at my "real" website, jerf.org. Due to some ISP problems, the site is currently a bit of a mess, but you should be able to use the summarizer equipment.

Judge Says Recording of Electronic Chats Is Legal: This decision was made in the context of a case where the police used ICQ to set up a sting. I think this decision at the very least was made for the wrong reasons, and is a clear illustration of the problem that Internet rights are having; there are never any clear cases, instead potentially far-reaching decisions are made in the context of a sting operation or other similar, limited context. I doubt the judge truly appreciates what it means to say that chatting on the Internet is not subject to the same protections as talking on a phone, or private conversation.

Oooops... in the process of burning down my system and re-installing Windows 95, I wiped out Photoshop's Registry entries, so now it won't start. So much for the graphics I was going to toy with. Now it's a hunt to find the blasted CD, which always seems to have a way of walking off... the upshot is no graphics anytime soon. Pity.
